Natalie Young

Born and raised in eastern North Carolina, Natalie Young is now fully rooted in Raleigh. Young graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics before receiving her Chemistry degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. She went on to earn her Doctorate from the UNC-Chapel Hill Eshelman School of Pharmacy and fell head-first into veterinary pharmacy.

While in graduate school, Natalie realized that if you go to a traditional ‘big box’ pharmacy, the pharmacist behind the counter probably does not know how to care for your animal. Through no fault of their own, they haven’t been educated in veterinary pharmacy. From that point on, she knew she had found her calling.

Natalie has spent years envisioning a veterinary pharmacy that brings an unprecedented depth of expertise and service to the community veterinary industry. Today, Realo Veterinary Pharmacy has become the local place for veterinarians to turn to—a place they can enlist expert advice, collaboration, and the gold standard in compounded products.

Natalie Young lives in Raleigh, NC, with her husband, Hunter, her daughter, Taylor, and their happy dog, Bogey. You can read more about her work here.

Coy Privette

A native to North Carolina and Wake county, Coy graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, going on to serve our country as an Airborne Army Ranger and artillery officer during some of the earliest deployments into the war against terrorism in Afghanistan.

Once back home, his love for animals drew him to the veterinary industry, beginning his career as a pharmacy field consultant for veterinarians and fierce advocate for veterinary medicine at the state and federal level. While building a network of pharmacy representatives nationwide, he served as president of the NC Veterinary Medical Association Industry Council, helped found similar organizations in other states, and helped craft common sense language both in laws and regulations to protect and secure veterinary access to vital medications. He also crafted the first version of the state’s Veterinary Emergency Response Protocol, still implemented today.

Coy’s passion for developing a trusted veterinarian to pharmacist relationship- one where pharmacists “speak veterinarian’s language”- led him to Realo Veterinary Pharmacy. As North Carolina’s only veterinary-exclusive community pharmacy, his impact is the culmination of 15 years of understanding what it means to fundamentally partner with veterinarians and the pet patients that they serve, with the goal of seamless animal healthcare from start to finish.

Coy Privette lives in Wake Forest, NC, with his wife, Niki and sons Hunter, Carson, and Andrew. They keep busy with their additional family members Baxter, Blaze, and Pickle.
